Leading the next generation.

St. Mark’s Lutheran Academy is where children, in Christ, reach up to God’s love, reach out to love others, and reach in to discover their gifts and abilities.

Reaching Up

“Let the little children come unto me.” Children experience the love of Christ through story, wonder and play. Spiritual lives are nurtured by discovering God’s Word through creative exploration. SMLA receives a tremendous amount of support and encouragement from the member of St. Mark’s.

Reaching Out

“Love your neighbor as yourself.” The social development of children is one of its most significant benefits. Teachers model kindness and respect as they guide children in their daily activities. Learning and playing in a cooperative environment fosters love for self and love for others.

Reaching In

We believe that every child has God given gifts and talents. We also believe that each child can do great things. Our programs are designed to meet children’s needs and abilities. We offer individually paced lesson planning to challenge students to reach their personal potential.

“The education of even a small child, therefore, does not aim at preparing him for school, but for life.” - Maria Montessori

Montessori Education

Montessori offers an unparalleled educational experience that allows children to develop their whole person—intellectually, physically, and spiritually. More than just an alternative to traditional daycare and preschools we believe that a Montessori education provides the ideal environment for students to come to know themselves, the world, and ultimately their place in it.
